Georgia SPCTE (Special Population Career & Technical Educators)
After a thorough review and careful consideration, the leadership of GACESNP (Georgia Association of Career and Special Needs Professionals) has decided to make significant amendments to our bylaws and take a bold step towards greater alignment with prominent entities such as Georgia ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education) and ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education) at the national level.
One of the most noteworthy changes is the transformation of our organization's name. Henceforth, we shall be known as "Georgia SPCTE" which stands for "Special Populations Career and Technical Educators." This name change reflects our renewed dedication to fostering excellence in career and technical education while specifically focusing on addressing the unique needs of special populations.
Our decision to realign with Georgia ACTE and ACTE stems from the belief that collaboration with these respected bodies will open up exciting opportunities for our members. By forging stronger connections with the Georgia Department of Education (DOE) and the Georgia Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) community, we aim to bring forth more meaningful and valuable professional learning and development experiences to our membership.
With these changes, we envision a brighter future for Georgia SPCTE. We are committed to offering enhanced resources, networking opportunities, and professional development tailored to the needs of our special populations educators and supporters. Our mission remains unwavering: to empower educators, inspire students, and champion inclusivity in career and technical education.
