Membership Categories:
-
Professional Membership – Individuals actively employed in or concerned with career and technical education. Professional members in unified state associations are required to hold state and ACTE membership simultaneously and benefit from involvement at both the local and national level. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve as officers, serve on committees, and participate as a delegate.
-
Retired Membership – Retired membership is available for individuals who are retired from active employment in a CTE field, have been active in ACTE for at least one year and wish to remain active in the CTE community (and we welcome their expertise!). Retired members cannot be employed either full or part time. Retired members must notify ACTE should they regain employment and renew at the professional membership rate. Members in this category are eligible to vote, serve on committees and participate as a delegate.
-
Positional Group Membership (Formerly Organization Membership) - Ideal for schools, districts, colleges, and institutions that want to extend ACTE benefits to their entire team. Positional Group Memberships are professional memberships assigned to specific roles within the institution, allowing a membership to be transferred to a new educator in the same position while ensuring access to ACTE’s professional development, advocacy resources, publications, and networking opportunities.
