Membership Coordinator Job Description:

(Contract Position – 1099)

Position Summary:

The GACTE Membership Coordinator is responsible for the strategic growth, retention, and management of the Association’s membership. This position plays a critical role in strengthening member engagement, increasing recruitment, and ensuring accurate reporting and communication of membership data. The Membership Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director, Events Director, Division Leadership, Committee Chairs, and the GACTE Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Management

  • Manage all aspects of GACTE membership operations (including positional memberships)

  • Work directly with ACTE to verify, reconcile, and accurately record memberships.

  • Maintain up-to-date membership records and reporting systems.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive membership growth and retention plan.

  • Conduct follow-up communication to recruit new members and retain existing members.

Conference & Event Integration

  • Manage membership processes as part of Summer Conference registration and other events as needed.

  • Attend division conferences to encourage, promote, and support membership growth as assigned. 

  • Monitor membership engagement at GACTE events and assist as needed.

Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate membership trends and analytics to the GACTE Board of Directors.

  • Provide membership support in a timely manner for Division Vice Presidents. 

  • Provide updated membership rolls to Division Presidents and Vice Presidents on a monthly basis.   

  • Prepare clear, concise membership reports for leadership review.

Strategic Membership Development

  • Design and lead an innovative annual membership drive with Board approval and support.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen recruitment messaging and outreach efforts including networking and collaborating with regional and national ACTE representatives. 

  • Recommend strategies to improve retention and member engagement.

  • Work closely with each Division on their membership recruitment efforts. 

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Events Director  on strategic membership initiatives.

  • Coordinate with the Events Director to align membership processes with event planning and registration.

  • Attend Executive and Full Board Meetings.

Qualifications (Recommended)

  • Strong organizational and data management skills(Excel, ACTE SCM, Database creation and Management, and Registration Software)

  • Ability to analyze trends and present reports clearly

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in membership organizations or nonprofit associations preferred

  • Knowledge of CTAE and the GACTE Professional Association

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with volunteer leadership

  • Ability to be flexible with time-mid-week overnight travel is required

Compensation & Contract Terms

  • Yearly Contracted position (1099 independent contractor)

  • Starting date July 1, 2026

  • Travel to official GACTE events will be covered

  • Salary range $20,000 to $30,000 based on experience. 

  • Evaluated by Executive Director with Board Approval
