Event Coordinator Needed

The duties and responsibilities of this contract position center on planning and managing logistics for Board Meetings, the Annual Summer Conference and other events as determined by the Georgia ACTE Board. The Event Coordinator must have the skills necessary to ensure successful events while staying within the allotted budget.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

· Collaborate with the Executive Director on logistics for all events.

· Responsible for registration processes that are efficient and meet the needs of our members for all events.

· Provide input on a budget for each event.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.

  • Create reliable financial reports.

  • Work closely with Accountant to ensure that all expenditures are paid on time.

  • Manage events and address potential problems that may arise.

  • Secure, train and support volunteers at events.

  • Create positivity and excitement for each event.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or President of the Board.

Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Ability to work well with a team

Excellent time management skills

Above average proficiency with Excel

Flexible schedule


Compensation:

· Contract range from $20,000 to $30,000 with a potential bonus structure based on net income of the Annual Conference.

· This is a one-year contract position which will generate a 1099 for income tax purposes. The contractor is responsible for all taxes and associated costs.

· A technology package will be provided which will include a laptop computer, large screen monitor and a printer. No other technology is provided.

· Mileage and other travel costs are covered by Georgia ACTE. No other benefits are provided.
