73rd Annual GACTE Virtual Conference
July 15-16, 2020
Due to the safety of our members and uncertainty around being able to gather as a large group, the Board of Directors for Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education (GACTE) has decided to move from a Face to Face Conference to a Virtual Conference. We believe that this decision will enable us to put all of our energy and efforts into having the best virtual conference around! The dates are July 15-16, 2020 but the format and times may look different.
We are hiring a production company along with an interactive virtual platform which will include a theater for keynote speakers and other general sessions (awards and business session), concurrent sessions based on program area, and an exhibit hall.
The production companies we are considering have provided successful and innovative virtual conferences for a wide variety of audiences including Fortune 500 companies.
Our Dynamic Keynote Speakers---Brooks Harper and Principal Baruti Kaefele are ready to join us virtually. Content will focus on equipping teachers to be ready when students return in the Fall. They have both participated in Virtual Sessions and are ready to move forward with our conference.
The Conference Planning Committee promises that this will be a fun event that will equip all Georgia CTAE Teachers and Administrators for Fall 2020!
Registration costs will remain at $295 due to unknown expenses that will occur with a quality virtual conference. The GACTE Board believes that we will have to make a significant investment to provide the experience that our members need.
If you have already registered for the conference, no action is required on your part. We look forward to “seeing” you in July! If you haven't registered, the link is below:
Districts who are able to cover the cost of membership for their teachers may include it with registration or members may renew/join at www.acteonline.org.
The GACTE Board of Directors appreciates the work that is being done by CTAE Teachers, CTAE Administrators, and School Counselors during this time. We are committed to continuing the work with Georgia DOE CTAE Division as well as with the CTAERN Board of Administrators as we pivot and plan the best virtual conference ever!
Please reach out to Jody Reeves if you have concerns or questions about the conference or issues with registration.
